A workshop to help local businesses get more customers through engaging stories and content on social media.

Our goal is to provide a powerful framework so Waiheke businesses can create authentic customer connections and generate revenue without wasting time, money and resources.

 

We will give you the tools to tell engaging stories through new content, and help you repurpose your existing content for maximum impact in 2020.

 

The workshop will run a full day and be divided into two sessions. Each session will have actionable worksheets and templates that will serve businesses going forward.

HOW IT WORKS

PART ONE: MORNING SESSION

This session is based upon the fundamentals of storytelling and how to make an impact in the current landscape of social media.

 

1. CUSTOMER CLARITY
 

  • Establishing your WHY and your promise to the world

  • Gaining clarity on your positioning, who your perfect customer is and how you can speak to them

2. THE KEY COMPONENTS OF STORYTELLING
 

  • The fundamentals of how to tell captivating and contagious stories that stand out 

  • How to translate brand messages into fresh and engaging content

 

3. THE TOOLS + PLATFORM LANDSCAPE
 

  • The platform landscape and where your content fits best 

  • A roadmap of how to successfully launch content, maximise impact and measure results

PART TWO: AFTERNOON SESSION

This afternoon session will be interactive where we get into the nitty gritty of planning, creating and releasing your content.

4. YOUR CONTENT ASSETS

 

  • Examining what content assets you already have and how these can be effectively repurposed into fresh campaigns

  • Producing content in-house and how to work with content creators

 

5. CREATING EVERGREEN CONTENT 

 

  • Strategies to continuously come up with new and exciting content

  • How to schedule content and use paid ads for your business

WHO ARE WE?


We’re Josh and Mearle.
 

We're a New Zealand based creative agency who produce entertaining content for digital platforms, and over the past few years, we've been building a huge body of creative work. 

 

We've produced two broadcast shows shown in over 100 countries, multiple digital series and several viral videos (you may have seen our tongue in cheek ‘The Real Houseboys of Waiheke parody).

 

We have created successful content and marketing campaigns for some of New Zealand’s biggest companies, and made all types of bespoke content for small businesses across New Zealand.

 

We also run ‘The Creators Circle’ - an online training program to help passionate content creators make an impact with their craft.

 

It’s this obsession with storytelling and helping passionate business owners that has led to the creation of the Storytelling Sessions.

In order to give as much value as possible we have limited capacity to this event, and at this stage we are only running one workshop.

Where and when is the event?

The event will be held at the Surfdale Bowls Club Function Room, Waiheke Island on Saturday 14 March.

What is included in the ticket price?

  • Full day workshop

When do I need to confirm my booking?

ASAP! Space is limited so this is strictly a first in - first served event.

What level of experience do I need to be at?

We are not concerned about your experience, however you need to be currently creating some kind of content OR you have created content in the past, OR are planning to start creating content this year.

What do I need to bring with me?

We will provide worksheets for you to work off, however you may wish to bring a pen and paper or a device to write notes on.

Will there be another event on Waiheke on a different date?
